I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science. I have had many healings through the years, such as those of car sickness, ulcerated stomach, constipation, nervous exhaustion, and food poisoning, but there is one which I should like to relate in detail.

Over a year ago I had a bad back injury. For three days I was unable to get out of bed alone, and when I did get up, I had no control over my body. I had the help of a Christian Science practitioner and held to these words of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 427): "Thought will waken from its own material declaration, 'I am dead,' to catch this trumpet-word of Truth, 'There is no death, no inaction, diseased action, over-action, nor reaction.'" I was able to be up and around in a few days, but the injury was not wholly healed.

Whenever church time came, the thought of my back would try to keep me from attending. The minute I took my place in church I would be tempted to think that I would not be able to sit through the service because the seats caused my back to hurt and also that I would not be able to stand up to sing.
