THE TREASURES OF INFINITE SUBSTANCE

In her textbook. "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes as follows (p.285): "The time has come for a finite conception of the infinite and of a material body as the seat of Mind to give place to a diviner sense of intelligence and its manifestations,—to the better understanding that Science gives of the Supreme Being, or divine Principle, and idea."

Because God is infinite, no limitations can be put upon that which is obviously without bounds or measurement. Human thought does not readily grasp the infinite and all that it implies, but the study of Christian Science requires not only a growing understanding of its meaning but also its demonstration.

In Christian Science one is always working from the basis of that which is immeasurable, that which is without limitation of any nature, namely, the allness of God. Life is not finite, but is infinite and eternal. Mind is not finite, but infinite, immeasurable, evidenced and revealed in an infinitude of ideas. Love is infinite and therefore all-inclusive, having no bounds of time, space, or substance. It is impossible to dwell upon the divine Principle, God, as Life, Love, Spirit, Soul, Mind, or Truth and not be aware that we are always dealing with that which is infinite in every aspect. Infinity invariably characterizes all that means God and all that expresses Him.
