Building for Their Communities
[A Report prepared for the Reading Room Division by the Executive Board of a branch church]
Fontana, California
Several years ago the members of this church saw the need of maintaining their Christian Science Reading Room in the downtown business district, where it would be more accessible and inviting to the public. The executive board appointed a committee to start working toward this goal.
Soon a monetary gift was presented by a church member for the furnishings of the new Reading Room. After hearing committee reports on rentals of suitable groundfloor quarters, the members decided to buy a lot in a good location and to build a Reading Room.
