I wish to express my gratitude for Christian Science, not only because of the healings I have received through its application, but because of the understanding of God, of His ever-presence and power, and of man in His likeness, which Science is unfolding to me. It has revealed God to me as always at hand to comfort as well as to correct.

I once ridiculed this Science and considered Christian Scientists persons to avoid. Today, however, I am humbly grateful for Mary Baker Eddy and her discovery, which means so much to humanity, and for every sincere student of this religion.

My introduction to Christian Science came through the healing of my wife of pulmonary tuberculosis in its last state, in spite of the doctor's claim that the time for healing had passed. The healing came so quickly and completely that I was inspired to make a study of the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, to determine what had accomplished such wonderful results. Before completing the first chapter, that on Prayer, there came the realization that what I had desired for so long was in my grasp.
