That Christian Science does heal instantly and completely has been proved to me many times.

I should like to express publicly my deep and sincere gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, and author of its textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," for her loving work and devotion in giving to the world this Science of the Christ, that all may reap the benefit of her labor.

Over forty-six years ago I received my first Christian Science treatment. I was a messenger boy for the Western Union Telegraph Company, and while delivering a message I was struck by a running horse. The three doctors who attended me informed my parents that I probably should never regain consciousness, that I had a fractured skull, a clot of blood at the base of the brain, and several broken bones. They seemed to be so sure that I could not live that the bones were not even set.
