A Soldier shook hands with a Christian Science Wartime Minister and with deep gratitude said: "You will never know what your visit has meant to me. What you have told me this morning of the presence and power of God has healed me of the greatest depression I have experienced since I have been in the Army."

Numbers of healings are taking place among service men and women. Many are turning to God now with a reliance such as they never before possessed. The Christian Science Wartime Ministers and volunteer workers, serving under the Camp Welfare Activities of The Mother Church. The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, are gladly helping those who have been called to their country's colors.

Christian Scientists and all others who request Christian Science treatment receive it freely and joyously from these workers. They supply the Christian Science periodicals, including the Quarterly, to students in the armed forces, and in many areas conduct Christian Science services. They give to all who request them the service editions of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. They are called upon to listen to the personal problems of those in uniform and to help them in the same manner that they would help anyone in civilian life. The Mother Church is truly extending its influence in comfort, practical aid, and love to all in the armed forces who will accept its ministrations. So is the Bible prophecy renewed, "As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem."
