When Christian Science was presented to me I was in a weakened condition because of stomach trouble, from which I had suffered for sixteen years, I had just visited the doctor, and on my way home I stopped at a neighbor's home to ask her to go on an errand I felt I was not able to do. Seeing my need, she asked me to rest lor a while, and told me she knew of something that would help me. Then she asked me to try Christian Science, and I consented to do so. A practitioner was called, and she explained about God in a way I had not heard before. She was so sincere that I was convinced she knew what she was talking about. She asked me to read the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

I had been reading for a few days when I came across these lines on page 283: "Mind is the source of all movement, and there is no inertia to retard or check its perpetual and harmonious action. Mind is the same Life, Love, and wisdom 'yesterday, and to-day and forever." "I studied these words very earnestly, and a complete healing of the stomach trouble followed. At the same time I was healed of constipation and hemorrhoids, conditions which had not been mentioned to the practitioner. This occurred over seventeen years ago, and the healings have been permanent. A sprained ankle was healed in a few hours. In the words of the Psalmist, I say, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits," for I am grateful for many benefits.
