It is a pleasant duty and privilege...
It is a pleasant duty and privilege to submit the following testimony in proof of the healing efficacy of Christian Science.
Medical or surgical means were never resorted to in solving the problems which arose in our family. I can recall how, over the period of years, many healings have been experienced by us, healings of quinsy, arthritis, the smoking habit, a nervous breakdown, heart trouble, defective hearing, a broken collarbone, a fractured ankle, contagious diseases, and many other minor sicknesses long since forgotten.
However, since I left school and started working, seven years ago, I have grown truly to appreciate what Christian Science can do and is doing for mankind in general, and will do for me in particular if the understanding I have acquired is correctly applied. I have been marvelously protected from diseases of all kinds. During the last five years I have not lost one day's work because of ill-health. There were many days when mortal mind tried to persuade me to stay away from the office, but always, when I had done my work in Science, and had read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, suggestions of error would clear up and disappear.
