With a heart filled with gratitude for our Father-Mother God, for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, I give this experience with one hope: that it may help someone to know there is but one law, the law of God.

One noon, my husband, our two daughters, and I took a drive to find relief from the heat. This was just two months before my baby was to be born. A grocery truck, late on its noon delivery, and with bad brakes, came down a side street and hit our car. As the car rolled over, I cried out, "God is Love!" When the car was turning over, my husband and I changed places. My head was badly cut by the back-view mirror. I did not realize that I had been injured, but the police and those who had gathered, seeing my condition, insisted that I go to the hospital. I heard one say, when I refused. "She's out of her head."

My daughter called a Christian Science practitioner as soon as we reached home. Two loving neighbors put me to bed, and dressed the wound. The following morning they voiced so much fear of infection that I called the practitioner, and on her advice called a doctor. He expressed fear for the child, and upon examination of my head said I should have at least fourteen stitches. I allowed him only to wash the wound and put on fresh bandages. In just one week, I was in a beauty parlor having my hair washed, and the wound was completely healed.
