A Christian Science program in the Canadian Broadcasting...

"Devotional Period" talk over Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, conducted by Robert A. Duncan,—June 18, 1939. Subject: "Effectual Prayer."

A Christian Science program in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation "Devotional Period" series was conducted from Station CBM, Montreal, Quebec, on Sunday afternoon, June 18, from 2.30 to 3, by Robert A. Duncan, a former First Reader of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Montreal. This program was radiocast under the auspices of the Committee on Publication for the Province of Quebec and had the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Charles Hutchins, the soloist, was assisted by Percy French at the organ.

The program opened with Hymn No. 169 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Then Mr. Duncan read from the Bible as follows: John 5:1—15; James 5:13—16; and from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 1:1—4; 10:22—4; 16:7—11; 15:25—30; 4:3—22.

The program continued with Hymn No. 322 in the Christian Science Hymnal. Mr. Duncan then read an address substantially as follows:
