Love Never Faileth
When
thieving thoughts had robbed us of our peace,
And by the wayside left us in distress,
Where careless travelers passed with wanton pride,
Indifferent to our need, our helplessness,
Then Love divine sent angels to our side,
To heal our wounds with inspiration's balm;
To pour the oil of gladness on our heads
And guide us to the inn of heavenly calm.
Here we were nourished with the truth that saves,
Revealing man of Spirit, not of sod,
Our heirship with the Christ, where peace abides,
The consciousness that knows true self in God.
