The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Boston, Massachusetts (The Mother Church).

Lecturer: Dr. John M. Tutt; introduced by George Shaw Cook, who said:—

Christian Science teaches us that God is infinite divine Mind, and that man's true spiritual selfhood is at-one with eternal Mind. It shows us that a sense of existence apart from God—a material, finite, mortal sense of existence—is temporal and unreal. On page 8 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, reminds us that "we ought to weary of the fleeting and false and to cherish nothing which hinders our highest selfhood." It is of this real, spiritual selfhood that we shall hear from the one who is to address us to-night.
