Sixteen years ago I suffered severely from catarrh

Sixteen years ago I suffered severely from catarrh. The physician who was treating me said I could never hope to get relief in this climate. Christian Science was then presented to me by a friend who had had a wonderful healing. I wrote to a practitioner for help, but not seeming to get results dismissed her at the end of two weeks. A few months later, however, I realized that every symptom of the disease had disappeared. At the time I did not give Christian Science credit for this healing, and for the next six years went on in the old way, depending on material means for help. Then I has a severe attack of inflammatory rheumatism. Getting no relief after several weeks' trial of materia medica, I turned again to Christian Science, and through the help of a practitioner was healed in three days. Another discordant physical condition was also healed at the same time. This experience proved to be an awakening, as I was now convinced that Christian Science does heal.

Soon my four sons were placed in the Christian Science Sunday School and I began the study of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The blessings which have come to us since that time cannot be numbered. We have had healings of colds, infection of the ear and throat, measles, and hemorrhoids. One child had a growth in the palm of his hand. The growth disappeared through the application of the truth. We are proving better each day the unreality of discord and disease and the reality of health and harmony.

Words alone cannot express my gratitude to God for revealing this wonderful truth to the world through our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. I am grateful for the good that is coming to me daily through the periodicals and the other activities of The Mother Church and a branch church.
