Filled with deep gratitude I, too, wish to testify to the great blessing which I have received in Christian Science. I was like one newborn after becoming acquainted with this sublime teaching. Christian Science proved to be that for which I had longed. I still remember with deep feeling the first Sunday service I attended. What a deep impression the reading from our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, made upon me, and how happy and peaceful were all the faces there! After this first service I understood that this teaching must be something beautiful and wonderful.

God has shown me in many beautiful ways the path to freedom. It has been possible for me to prove that we need not be slaves to fear, but that through a right understanding of God and our relationship to Him we are superior to fear. I was healed of a bad defect in my speech called stuttering. I recognized that stuttering in my case was only an expression of fear in mortal thought. Therefore I could remove this defect of speech by learning to know spiritual man. Does not the apostle refer to the power of divine Love when he says, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear"? Then where Love is, fear has no place, evil has no power. We also have the testimony of the ever-presence of Spirit, God, when we read, "In him we live, and move, and have our being."

I also thank God for a wonderful demonstration of supply. I was privileged to experience the fulfillment of that wonderful promise, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Nothing but a seeking for the knowledge of God, good, by right thinking, was necessary, and the supply was at hand. May every one recognize the true meaning of business, occupation, and work! In all these things I have been able to experience the operation of divine law; that is, that an understanding of God is the law of freedom from inactivity, incapability, and unfitness. Relying joyously on God, I know now that He always has that which is good and true prepared for us, and that we need not be anxious about our means of livelihood, but must only express Him.
