I wish to add my testimony to the many I have read and from which I have received so much help, hoping some one may be benefited by hearing again to God's omnipotent care. In June, 1916, I was taken with very severe pains in my head. After being treated for several weeks by three different physicians without any relief, my case was diagnosed as tumor on the brain. During all this time I was under the effect of powerful opiates and was so weak that I did not realize my condition. The doctor advised an operation, saying that this did not mean a cure but would relieve the suffering and hasten the end. I was fast losing my sight and he said soon I would be blind. He also said finally that materia medica could do nothing more for me. One morning after I had passed through a night of suffering, our daughter asked me if I would not like to try Christian Science. I knew I was in a very weak condition but did not know the doctor had given me up. I told her I was willing to try anything that would give me relief. Here once more man's extremity was God's opportunity. That day she went to a loving practitioner and stated my case; and that night I did not need the opiate. Since then I have never taken medicine in any form. God has been my only physician. I have lived in the ninety-first psalm: "He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."

My healing was permanent and my vision was restored. I would like to add that the treatments were all absent ones; I did not see the practitioner until I was on the road to recovery. Since my first healing we have been blessed in many ways. My husband has come into Christian Science and has had several healings.

For the past three years Sunday services have been held in our house and we feel it a great opportunity and privilege to open our home that others may come and hear the truth. My earnest desire is that I may reflect more love and prove to others God's loving care for His children.
