I have been prompted many times, while reading the testimonies in the Sentinel of healings and help received through Christian Science, to write an expression of gratitude for benefits I have received.

I was first healed several years ago of mental worry regarding unemployment. I was without steady work and could not see the way to pay living expenses. It was at this time that my sister kindly offered me a pamphlet to read, entitled, "The Father's Business." The truth therein made an impression on me, and seeing that my problem was still unsolved she lovingly advised me to go to a practitioner and state my case to him. I could not understand how that would help my case at all, but after a few weeks I made up my mind that I would do so, with the result that in less than a week I had a position for the winter. It came in such a way that I am certain it was through the help of the practitioner in realizing the truth.

From that time I was entirely healed of the thought that man has to worry about a position or earning a living. The next summer when out of a position again I just tried to realize that God takes care of all of His creation, and then sat down to complete an unfinished lesson in accounting. In less than one hour the telephone rang, and answering the call, I was asked to take a temporary position, which proved to be permanent. Since that time I have not been wothout steady work. This was a wonderful proof to me of the truth and efficacy of Christian Science. We have had many physical healings in the family, as well as mental and spiritual uplift. I am very thankful for Christian Science, and indeed grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her devotion to the truth, and for giving it to the world.
