It is now several years since I first heard of Christian Science, and I wish to express my gratitude for what it has done and is doing for me. I did not come to it for physical healing, but in the hope of gaining a knowledge of "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding," and I am thankful to say I have now attained a knowledge of divine Love, and the peace of God that nothing can take away.
When I took up the study of Christian Science in the spring of 1908, I was suffering from an abscess (I had had one or more annually for several years) and my health was very poor; in fact, I was considered a semiinvalid. With the help of a Christian Science practitioner the abscess soon passed away with very little trouble and I have never had another since. This is to me very beautiful, for the doctor told me I would probably be afflicted in this way all my life. There are many other smaller ailments that have also disappeared into their native nothingness. It is impossible to express what I feel in words, but my earnest desire is to put into daily practice what I am learning from the study of the Lesson-Sermons. This is the only way I can prove my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for giving us "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
Winifred Dale, London, England.
