I will try in my simple manner to tell what Christian Science has done for me. If it had not been for this truth I feel that I would have been in my grave today, but thanks to the Giver of all good I am left to tell the blessed news. Twenty-five years ago my left limb commenced to pain me, right in the bone, so severely that I was nearly frantic. My husband tried many doctors but I could get no relief. Everything that could be heard of was turned to with the same result. The limb grew worse all the time, and would swell dreadfully. Finally, in 1909, it grew so bad that I could hardly walk or move without assistance and almost unbearable misery. In 1910, when it turned black and burst in two places, I was all but desperate. I had not been able to wear a shoe for two years. Doctors said the bone was decayed.
I had given up all hope of being able to do anything but die, when a dear friend sent me some Christian Science literature. I read it and took courage. I craved to see and know more about the wonderful work and healing power of Truth. I asked the friend to help me, which she consented to do. The result was that I began to improve, the swelling disappeared, the pain grew less, the discoloration began to disappear.
It has been two years and a half since I was healed through Christian Science. I have not felt a pain or had any swelling in my limb, so feel assured that it is completely cured. I have also been able to help my family in many ways. Every-thing is much more harmonious than it used to be. I am so thankful to our merciful Father and to Christian Science that I am entirely healed of my trouble and enjoying the best health I have had for thirty years. It would be impossible for me to express in words the gratitude I feel.
