habit of propagating error by what might be termed conventionally-good-form gossip, is very easily acquired and very generally consented to, but when one comes to think of the misunderstandings, bickerings, ill judgments, and alienations to which it leads, he wonders that every sensible person, not to say Christian, has not awakened to its blighting significance and begun a positive and continuous resistance to its temptations.

With an earnest desire to offer the cup of cold water to some weary traveler, and thus in the truest way express my loving gratitude for Christian Science, I give this brief testimony of my healing from the distressing effects of heat.
It occurs to me I have not been obedient in withholding my testimony to this late day, so I will try to put in practice the following from Science and Health.
It is impossible for me to enumerate all the blessings that have come to me in Christian Science, for which I have reason to be grateful, but I shall endeavor to state the more important ones.
From a heart overflowing with love and gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought me, I send my testimony, with the hope that it may inspire other seekers after Truth.
Through the teachings of Christian Science I have found health, peace, and happiness, and it is with deep gratitude that I acknowledge the joy which Christian Science has brought to me.
Every hour of every day I give thanks to God for the gift of Christian Science; for the pure thought of our Leader which brought it to us, and lastly that I was able to see and accept it.
