The Lectures
The following account of the lecture at Edinburgh, was received too late for publication in our last issue.
A lecture was delivered in Edinburgh by the Hon. William G. Ewing, on Saturday, May 10. A very good summary of the lecture was published on May 12 in the Scotsman, our principal daily paper.
As this was the first lecture on Christian Science ever delivered in Scotland, the occasion was one of the deepest interest, not only to the members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, but also to all others throughout the country who are beginning to know something of Christian Science. There is a pretty widespread belief that it is not easy for any new movement to make headway in Scotland, and especially is this belief held with regard to the capital city; but the event proved how many there are, here as elsewhere, who wish to understand what Christian Science is.
