Purity

PEARLS —so significant of purity in their whiteness and modesty—stand, as we are told, as the gates of the New Jerusalem, or the Paradise of God. Only through purity can we enter into this celestial city or heavenly consciousness wherein we find eternal life, for nothing enters this city "that defileth ... or maketh a lie," and yet we learn that the gates are never closed.

The way of purity is always open and ready for us to enter in when we will, "and whosoever will" may come.

Impurity would naturally block the way to purity,—"Error excludes itself from harmony" (Science and Health, p. 537).
