Thankful for Christian Science
I had been sick for about fifteen years and was taking medicine all the time. I was treated by twenty doctors, but received no help. In May, 1898, I did not think that I would live from one day to another. About this time, I was told of Christian Science by a dear friend, and I wrote to a Scientist for treatment. I began to improve at once.
The doctors said I had liver trouble, indigestion, heart trouble, catarrh of the head, and female trouble. I did not expect I would ever be any better, but now I feel like a new person. My healing has been slow, and I have been slow in gaining the understanding of Christian Science, but I thank God and my healer that I am getting along as well as I am. I can eat anything I choose without suffering, whereas before I knew of Christian Science my food caused me great distress. I sleep as sweetly as a babe. I give all the credit to Christian Science, for it has saved my life, and is a great benefit to me and my family. I can see proofs of God's power every day.
I am thankful for the Journal and Sentinel. The testimonies are a great help to me in overcoming error. I study my Bible and Science and Health as much as I can.
