Fear of Death Overcome

The subject of Christian Science is one that had been discussed for quite a long time in our family, and as I did not understand it I had put it aside and would say to myself, Why "art thou come hither to torment us before the time?" But there was something about it that I could not let alone, and it was in 1899, while in the West, I was reading some passages in our text-book, Science and Health, that it dawned on me, "This is the Truth. This is that something that I have been longing for;" and the sense of satisfaction and perfect peace that came over me was wonderful.

I had always, even when a child, had a great fear and dread of death, but never since that first realization that Christian Science is the Truth, have I felt that fear.

I have been healed of a number of diseases, but the most beautiful thing to me is that through the understanding of Christian Science we can help our fellow-man and love our neighbor as ourselves.
