A Speedy Recovery

I desire to give a demonstration of a quick recovery from an accident, through Christian Science treatment. On the evening of Saturday, June 29, I was out on my wheel, and on my way home coming down a steep hill, I took a header, and must have been unconscious for a while. I remember picking up my wheel and going to a house near by, which proved to be a policeman's. He took me to the Police Station and a doctor was called. The doctor sewed up a cut in my head and dressed the wounds, and I was able to come home on the electrics.

My wife sent for a Scientist the next morning, and we also sent for our old family physician, who removed the bandage and made a thorough examination, and found a very bad hemorrhage of the eye, the eye swollen so it was closed, a fracture of the left cheek-bone and right jaw-bone, and my nose broken.

We thought at first my nose would have to be put in splints, but this did not have to be done. My face was also very badly scraped, so much so that the doctor had to dig the dirt and grit out with the point of his scissors. He worked on me for two hours, and yet, at the end of that time, he found my pulse perfect.
