In his annual report on the operations and conditions of the treasury, submitted by Treasurer Roberts to Secretary Gage last week, the net ordinary revenues of the government for the fiscal year are shown to have been $567,240,852, the largest in the history of the country, exceeding those of 1866, the next highest, by $47,291,288.
