Impurity has ever been the foe of purity. Hatred, envy, malice, revenge, dishonesty, falsehood, and slander, are its boon companions. Were it possible, impurity would annihilate purity; but God reigns and He is pure.
A lie, like an ignis fatuus, flees before its pursuer. It cannot be traced to any source for it has no source. It cannot be bound for it is intangible. Yet the liar is sooner or later caught in the net which he weaves, and strangled there.
