An Obvious Retort

The New York World prints a list showing that forty-two deaths of persons attended by the "divine healers" of Christian Science have occurred since 1896. The obvious retort of the Christian Scientists is: "How many cases have the regular medical practitioners lost during the same time?"—Boston Globe.
The New Bedford Mercury must believe there is something in Christian Science, or it would not devote so much editorial space in the hope of making somebody think there is not.—Daily Enterprise, Brockton, Mass.
