Primary Class Instruction

A natural next step

Although I grew up in a Christian Science Sunday School and had wonderful healings of childhood diseases through the prayers of my mother and a devoted Christian Science practitioner, it wasn’t until I was healed of a serious physical problem as an adult that I stood in awe of the power of the Word of God as revealed to Mary Baker Eddy.
When the heart yearns for divine Love’s guidance, we can be assured of being gently directed to where we need to be, and when we need to be there.

Armed with understanding

When my Christian Science teacher accepted my application for Primary class instruction, I thought I was about to take an academic and intellectual course, where I would be informed of the teacher’s opinions and various hypotheses propounded by scholars.
When my husband and I each had applied to the same Christian Science teacher to take Primary class instruction in Christian Science, neither of us knew of the other’s application.
While I grew up in Christian Science, my fire of desire to learn more about it really began to burn in high school.
How did I get along before Christian Science Primary class instruction?

Bringing fresh authority to prayer

I grew up attending Sunday School, and Christian Science was part of my life.

Nourishing my practice

I had been raised in Christian Science, but when I was in college, I heard several talks by a Christian Science lecturer that impelled me to dig more deeply into my study and practice of it.
Taking Primary class instruction in Christian Science was a life-changing event for me—no doubt about it.
Shortly after having Primary class instruction in Christian Science, I visited a friend for lunch.
I have wanted to know more about God and my relationship to Him for as long as I can remember.
When I went through Primary class instruction in Christian Science, I was really striving to understand how to apply the healing power of God’s love and was deeply committed to learning more about man’s relationship to God.
