Abiding

How sweet to place my hand in Thine,O Father, Friend, and Guide;And when false fears beset me,Within Thy love to hide.

Power

How often in the quiet night,When sleep has fled and shadows fall,Love's angels guard with strength and might,Revealing Truth as over all;And morning sunshine, clear and bright,Finds us rejoicing in the right.

Patience

Let me not murmur if the nightSeems long.

The Way

A valley fair before me lies,Far overhead are azure skies,The morning light is flooding;The air the joyous bird-song fills,At which my heart with rapture thrills;The waysides all are budding.

Truth

Seek the priceless vision, hold it in thy heart,When thou once hast seen it, let it not depart;

Gratitude

I am grateful for the sunshine warm,Bright symbol of the Father's love;For all the flowers He gives the earth,And for the shining stars above;
