RAINDROPS OF DIVINITY

The gracious rain falls on the famished fields:The tranquil, waiting earth drinks thirstily,And empty stream beds parched and gray with dustBear laughing, singing waters to the sea.

FULLNESS OF JOY

A deep , abiding joy does not need laughterTo express its presence or its power,For God's own Son, known as the "man of sorrows,"Gave us his joy that our joy might be full.

Was he to know that he had closed his doorTo the Prince of Peace on this momentous night?
