Keeping Watch

Prayer is a deep realization and acceptance of God’s love holding each one of us and all creation in His eternal care—before, during, and after the resolution of a situation.
As I’ve been praying about people who’ve fled their homes in Ukraine, I’ve been turning to the Bible, which has so many stories about people fleeing.
During this trying time, I mentally got down on my knees in prayer and affirmed that God’s children are inseparable from Him and reflect the divine qualities of honesty and integrity.
Mentally affirming that the earth truly is the Lord’s, we will see how God’s allness precludes the possibility of an opposing center of power.
Jesus healed—almost involuntarily—by the very nature of his oneness with God, his pure embodiment of “the ever-presence of ministering Love.”
Each one of us is tenderly governed by spiritual law. Under this law, there is no evil source or influence—nothing that can wrongly divert any individual’s real purpose to bless.

The importance of yielding

Though yielding to God ultimately opens the way for healing, the even more gratifying reward is the inner security and joy we are sure to feel from gaining clearer insights into our true, spiritual identity as Love’s cherished expression.

Navigating chaotic times with prayer

No matter what appears to be going on, we can experience God’s government in order, peace, and abundance.
I was being called to adopt an attitude that included both a willingness to give generously and a trust that my daily needs would be met.
Prayer gave us confidence that God’s great love would protect my daughter, and the other girls, too.
Wisdom’s voice can be heard and accepted. It can win the day for individuals and for nations.

Never displaced from good

People in Ethiopia, where I am living, are being internally displaced because of an escalating civil war, and some are fleeing to neighboring countries. I have been praying because I have been deeply distressed by the magnitude of this problem and what I have been hearing in the news and in the community around me.
