Getting to know God's angels
Even if we seem to be up against a formidable challenge, God’s divine messages are at hand to “deliver us from the depths.”
In practicing Christian Science healing, it can feel at times as though we’re engaging in a battle with negative thoughts, doubts, and fears that argue—sometimes convincingly—that a problem is real or powerful. But when we prayerfully engage in this fight, it’s an expression of spiritual strength, a reflection of God’s all-power, enabling us to identify beliefs or lies that need to be challenged, to declare confidently the spiritual truths that destroy them, and to prevail in the face of fear, pain, or other inharmony.
Christian Science also points us toward another path to healing—one that’s beyond this seeming conflict and increasingly available as our thought relinquishes the sense of a battle against an opposing power and opens wide to the pure, tender messages of divine Love, God. In this calm mental state, we humbly receive what omnipotent Love is communicating—we’re assured, comforted, and fortified in our oneness with the creator, moving past the whole disturbing picture of whatever form of evil is troubling us.
God’s angel qualities and divine messages are at hand to “deliver us from the depths.”
