Investigators for the United Nations released a report on Monday accusing the North Korean government of human rights violations and crimes against humanity. The report, based on the testimony of North Korean defectors, details “systematic, widespread, and gross human rights violations” being committed by Kim Jong-un’s administration, and recommends that the issues be examined by the International Criminal Court. The UN Human Rights Council will debate the report in Geneva, Switzerland, in March.

For freedom in North Korea” asserts that in addition to coordinated international action, the world’s response to allegations of crimes against humanity should include prayer for the North Korean people. We can all join together in prayer to recognize that elements of fear, intimidation, or brutality in government aren’t legitimate, and must be dissolved by the peace, comfort, and stability of divine Love.
