Moments that stick

She thought what she wanted more than anything was to be able to dance again. But through her prayers, this college student got more than that—and what she got really stuck with her.
Completely overwhelmed, I remember offering up one brief prayer: “Father, I need help.” I just stood there and waited, ready to humbly follow God’s guidance.
It was a little intimidating, because I haven’t been through an experience like that myself, so at first I wasn’t sure what to say or do. But I also felt like this was the moment God had prepared me for.

All being one

This poem reminds us of the oneness of God and His reflection.
In an on-again, off-again friendship, this author often felt obligated to keep the peace. But was loving her neighbor at the expense of loving herself actually what Jesus taught? She prayed to find out.

Oneness

Feel one in spirit with your fellow man through God.

Was I going to flunk?

The night before the final exam, I began to panic.

Infinite answers

Where can we turn to find the answers we need?

Am I a fraud?

Feeling tongue-tied made this author believe she was less than worthy. But one day, a clear message from God woke her up to the fact that she didn’t have to buy into this view of herself any longer.
When something in our lives feels as if it is either galloping out of control or liable to do so, we can refuse to be mesmerized by appearances and listen to God’s spiritual messages.

No matter what storms we face in life—literal storms or mental ones—God is not in them, but He is still with us.
