Finding safety anywhere

I live in Los Angeles and spend a fair amount of time on the highways.
Before I packed up and moved to my new home—more than 2,000 miles away—members of my branch Church of Christ, Scientist, organized a terrific going-away lunch.
It had been one of those hectic mornings when the clock hands seemed to be moving at double time.
