Yea and nay
Let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay.
—Matthew 5:37
“Yea; nay.”
Is this the shortest
prayer in Scripture?
It may be.
Certainly, it packs
a metaphysical punch
above its length.
Choose this day
what you will say “Yes” to,
what you will say “No” to.
It makes a difference, this.
“No,” to that which is not good.
“No,” to that which is not from God.
“No,” to that voice saying,
“Why is this happening to me?”
“Yes,” to looking higher,
beyond discordant symptoms.
“Yes,” to truth
that breaks through the illusions.
“Yes,” to that deep sense
of being loved by Love.
“Yes,” to God’s angel message saying,
“This blessing, this healing, is for you.”
It is divine presence
that shows us
what to say “Yes” to
and what to say “No” to,
filling in your prayer
with just exactly what
you need to know
and feel
and be.
