Lift your gaze

Did you awake today to find the dawn’s new light
obscured by morning mist,
. . . the mist of worried thinking,
. . . of fear and doubt for and about the others in your life,
. . . of material life wrapped up in itself,
tripping over its own muddy feet—unsure—
looking for answers within the mist?
This tired mortal needs only to lift his gaze to the light!
               . . . God’s light of living love,
. . . the only light of God’s first day,
where all creation is and is founded on,
where God’s reflection, man, is perfect, whole, loved, and loving
. . . and there never was any mist or mystery
. . . or even a tired mortal.
Only infinite God, who is Love, Life, Truth—who is All-in-all!
