The precious yesterday
The precious yesterday
was Love’s cup of
blessings
filled with possibilities—
opportunities
to acknowledge the good
expressed by Soul
and Life and Mind.
Some gifts were joyfully embraced,
but even gifts left unnoticed
were still near,
still given,
still blessing us all,
and still here, now, in
this God-filled day,
waiting for its new witnessing.
And we are present
with eyes wide open—
senses spiritual—
basking in our love of God
and God’s love of us:
the love of Love,
containing all creation
and pouring forth
blessings, blessings,
blessings.
We will see,
we do see,
we witness,
these blessings lifting our lives
to joy unbounded.
This is the precious today.
