With spiritual sense
James Walter
I take in a first, faint scent of Spirit
and dare, with hope, to taste the joys of Soul.
I feel, with faith, the touch of Love’s embracing
and hear God’s tender voice say, “Thou art whole.”
Through Christ I see divine perfection
and understand anew the might of Mind.
I find the precious fruit of Life uplifted
and know the strength of goodness unconfined.
No mortal lens can e’er discern
what spiritual sense leads me to learn—
that Truth is here to set us free
as we behold reality.
