Heart’s longing
Robin Scott Collins
Originally published for the Christian Science Sentinel online on March 25, 2022
May my heart’s new longing now for peace
rest softly on the life of one in need,
whether one I know best or least.
May gentle waves of pure affection swell—
become a flowing, growing, rolling round
of grace, enfolding glory face to face.
Let fear or loss and grief, regret, remorse
dissolve in Soul’s embrace of Her dear ones—
a humble warmth, a healing calm, bestowed—twofold.
