I have dominion
However many times it comes, say “No.
I will not hear a tempting thought
or yield to what I know is fraught
with nothingness that is unsought.

delivers me;
no temptation do I see;
no evil calling dwells in me.”
There is no tempter out there
that can throw you off your mission.
There is one power, one power alone:
our God and His infinitude—
the only All that leads you in the way,
the only power allowing you to say,
“Lead me not to lose the sight,
the sanctity, to love enough and care completely
for the ever-present Mind
that finds me as perfect and free,
in active and strict purity,
as we here need to be. Find me
putting all temptation down.”
This is the truth of my conviction,
knowing I maintain my mission,
knowing I have dominion;
the love of God for man delivers me.
