The accused
Ben Frederick
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
—John 8:7
Overtaken by thoughts
full of self-righteous accusation,
she found Christ in the midst
of mental turmoil.
His words broke the mob,
turning them on their heels,
transforming the crowd of accusers
into a cloud of witnesses—
each convicted conscience
silencing the inner voices that condemn,
leaving peace in their wake.
