Our shelter

In foretelling the coming reign of righteousness Isaiah declared (Isaiah 32:2), "A man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land." Thus Truth is a sanctuary or refuge where one can safely hide from all that would harm.

Men are continually seeking shelter from heat, cold, storms, disease, destruction, and evil of every sort; and many are finding that an understanding trust in God's omnipotence supplies every need, gives the perfect protection, and the right means of shelter. Many have found that their mental attitude has a great deal to do with their suffering from heat or cold, storms, or any so-called destructive force. As they put their trust in God, the ever-loving Father of all, they realize that it is not His will for His children to suffer, that His will is unceasing good for all His little ones. They find that God, infinite good, is the only power. Then the supposed forces of evil lose their reality in human consciousness, and so lose their alleged power to harm. In reality no destructive force exists; and evil cannot harm one whose thought is aligned with God, the one and only power. This truth becomes to him a rock of refuge where he can safely rest above all that erroneous mortal sense suggests.
