Do good, see good, be good

I see The Mother Church as a very big “health tree” growing in fertile soil. Its branches, therefore, are expected to be equally healthy and produce sweet and juicy fruits of healing. These fruits are what attracted me to join First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Lusaka, Zambia.

I liken the Christian Science Church to what Jeremiah 17:8 says, “For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” I yearn for more healing fruits, and, as such, I pray and work for my branch church to be truly “alive.” It is a top priority.

When I received news of a South African Church Alive Summit (held in April 2013 in Pretoria), I was happy about it and felt that, definitely, this was one I could not miss! I shared this news with other Christian Science church members and almost everybody was interested in attending. In preparation for the trip, I looked for my passport to check its validity but could not find it. However, I was hopeful that it was within the confines of my home.
