You have a right to be at peace

Originally published in the 1975 pamphlet titled “It’s about you”

Sue sat on the edge of her bed, arguing with herself. "It isn't fair!" she muttered. "Why should any woman have to suffer? It isn't my fault that I'm a woman. Besides, all this pain and nuisance certainly conflicts with the Bible. It says that God created everything and 'behold, it was very good'!" Genesis 1:31

Then she remembered that the next Saturday she and some friends were going swimming.

"I suppose I won't feel able to go," she thought. And that really made her rebel against all the suffering and inconvenience.
