Nothing can’t stop you
Nothing can’t stop you. That might sound like a confusing, twisted phrase, or a double negative, but the meaning of those words was revealed to me in a very tender way, one Sunday a few years ago.
I love attending the Christian Science church in my hometown. The readers are vibrant, the congregation is loving and embracing, and the services are uplifting. The music, played by a wonderful organist and sung by an extremely talented soloist, adds to the richness and healing atmosphere every Sunday.
At this particular service, when the solo began, I recognized the song as written by a friend of mine. This hymn is part of a repertoire of solos sung in many Christian Science churches as well. The joy of this song and the love with which it was sung filled our church, and I’m quite sure spilled right out into the community around us!
