Whether it’s a discussion on the possibility of building democratic ideals into a newly developing state, or pressures on existing democracies, or the democratic aspirations of small societies, democracy has been making news. But is it simply a political system, or is it a moral ideal? And how can the lives of individuals make a difference in government and in their communities? In this program hear some thoughts on democracy, and on effective citizenship.
