Real Fatherhood

Live audio chat with Thomas Mitchinson, C.S.

“Having children gives parents all sorts of opportunities to grow spiritually,” Tim says in his opening comments. He’s learned many lessons about fatherhood through raising four children, two of whom are adopted. He says that perhaps the biggest lesson he’s learned is to know that “God’s love is embracing us and those we love right now.” God, the one true Father-Mother of us all, is always caring for parents and their children, meeting every need.

Tim answers questions such as, How can I feel a fathering presence in my life if my parents have abandoned me and left me alone? How can we pray about what seems a decline in fathering today? How do you know when you’re ready to start a family? How can a father balance a demanding job with parenting responsibilities? How can parents get past a fear of bringing children into a world that feels unsafe for kids?

Tim’s practical and spiritually uplifting answers are a resource for anyone looking for an inspired sense of fatherhood.
