Redeeming the past

Live audio chat with Elise Moore, C.S.B.

In this chat, Elise addresses many different issues brought up by site visitors. She speaks of "God's wonderful kindness, which sets us free" from troubling memories, regrets, and sadness about the past. "We don't live in the past; we live in the present with God," she explains, and as we develop this relationship with God we can let go the burden of the past. "It's never too late to feel and know God's love," she declares.

Questions came from people who want to help friends give up the past, who are wondering if their feelings about past events are influencing their health, and who have regrets over past lifestyles that they feel were wrong. Others asked how to make amends with people they've hurt but who have passed on, how to know when one has been forgiven, how to deal with a husband's desertion after 25 years of marriage, and how to overcome feelings of not being a good enough parent.
