Youth

Far from home, but close to God

One of the things that had excited me about this trip was that I was looking at it as an opportunity to learn more about my relationship to God.
What can you do when relationships never seem to work out the way you want them to? This author shares his prayers about that question and how a shift to a more God-centric perspective blessed all his relationships—romantic and otherwise.

Prayer stopped the fighting

My three brothers and I were stuck.

Win or lose—love!

Imagine you’re playing a board game with your sister or brother and your parents.
When you pray, is it about something specific? Do you spend most of your time asking God for things? This author offers a challenge: Pray without an agenda. Each day. Why? Read on.

It is what it is

When you’re faced with a problem, do you “use” Christian Science to address it? This author explains how healing happens more readily when we understand that we aren’t “using” Christian Science to fix something.

Feeling annoyed?

Is annoyance something we just have to live with? One writer says, “no,” and shares the spiritual ideas that helped free her from it.
Since I was five I have regularly attended the Christian Science Sunday School.
I was unable to see my own positive qualities, and had not been for a while, but maybe I needed to look through a new lens.

The greatest gift

When it seems like there’s so much going wrong in the world, is there anything we can do to help? There is. And it begins with letting the light of Christ shine in our own “dark places.”

The best Christmas gift

It was the day before Christmas vacation! Yay! After the spelling test, our class was going to have a holiday party with treats, fun activities, and moms coming in to help.

Pay attention!

Stumped by a project, this author had a breakthrough when she realized the idea she needed was already there. All she had to do was pay attention and trust God, divine Mind, to lead the way.
